Cattleya amethystoglossa in bloom
One of these years I'll manage to get more than the standard seven blooms that this plant produces every late winter/early spring. Native to Brazil, C. amethystoglossa is a robust grower and reliable bloomer.

The tallest pseudobulbs are just over two feet high (although they will probably become taller as the plant gets older). |
