Iwanagara Apple Blossom
A common one, but wonderful. Two spikes in bloom with a third coming along. I got this one as a tiny back bulb division, with 2 shriveled and burned pseudobulbs. Even my mom who doesn't want anything to do with the orchids seems to enjoy this one |

It is a gorgeous photo and plant! It looks so healthy and happy. I too love the colour combo. Have loved it for years and finally got a small 3 bulb plant from H & R last fall. No sign of blooms but it seems healthy. Great rescue and growing Calvin- to turn two shrivelled bulbs into that!  |

Wow thanks for all the comments guys! I got this one about 5 years ago, and it's made one new bulb each year until this last year, when it made 2. It can go completely bone dry between waterings in the winter, and I suspect cool/bright/dry initiates spike development...One of the spikes is actually coming off of a bulb from last year, when I didn't give it a good winter drying, so I suspect there's some trigger involved. The sheaths can sit there for months doing nothing, and then suddenly pop open in spring. The fragrance is wonderful - similar to hyacinths
