Default Large tree mount blooming

Hi all, I posted this picture a few months ago, it has started to bloom. The owner said it would bloom around Fathers Day. He also started a couple of new mounts. Anyone able to identify it?

I am not so much jealous of the plant as the fact he can grow plants this size outdoors. Wow!

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

I was wondering about this recenlty! I remember seeing your original post on it, Dave

Thanks for the update...I'd say it's definitely a Schom but couldn't say which one. I'm sure one of our other members will come up with the name

Such an awesome plant!

WOW! That's a huge specimen! This one is Myrmecohpila tibicinis... Myrmecophila is the segregate genus for 'hollow-bulbed' Schomburgkia.

Wow. Those are giant spikes! It must be soo cool to be able to grow like that. Puts my Phal equestris on my Dragon tree to shame.
