The time of tenebrosa has begun, that come Christmas cheer with their chocolate-colored flowers; this is the "# 3", the lighter coloured from a batch of three plants from the same seed pod

I've never seen colourings like that before - definately just right for Christmas

And the crowd goes "ooohhh and ahhhh". I have a strait tenebrosa as well as a dozen crosses with tenebrosa and await their blooming. I bought them at a yearly show/sale as small starters and have nurtured them. They are starting to throw larger new growth and hopefully this coming year they will flower. I love the colors.
