Default Bc. Maikai 'Spotted Star'

This is a clone from H&R Nurseries that I purchased in 2007. In my opinion, it is the most attractive variety of Bc. Maikai with its many distinct spots. The plant is an easy grower and makes an excellent specimen plant.

I agree with you. That's the best Bc. Maikai I've seen. I have Bc. Maikai 'Louise' and it's a vigorous grower and great bloomer but I like yours a little better. You seem to have slightly bigger flowers and they're held a little higher on the plant. Thanks for sharing. I'll keep an eye out for that one.

OMG!!! I WANT THAT! I just LOVE the Brassavola crosses! Darn, if we didn't need CITES permits, I would love to have you ship me a division!

Hi tucker85. The beauty of 'Spotted Star' is that the color hardly fades. The flower stems cannot carry the weight of the large flowers so the inflorescences will cascade unless they are propped up. I staked up the flowers a few days before taking the photo.
