Default Cattleya Sea Breeze

C. walkeriana coerulea x C. labiata coerulea; compact as C walkeriana and easy grower and easy bloomer as C. labiata! Perfect combination!

Lovely flowering and I love the name. The name really suits the colour I think.

Frederico, I love these. But, isn't Cattleya Sea Breeze ia cross between C. warneri and C. walkeriana?

Yes, lovely blooming.

Can you tell me, please, how the moss, on the surface of the pot, helps the plant? The moss keeps the moist?...

Ted,
You are correct, it is a cross between warneri x walkeriana, registrant was Stewart Inc. in 1972

Thank you fellows!

Yes, this cross (in the current nomenclature) is C. warneri x C. labiata; but keep in mind that in the '70 the Catt known today as "C. warneri" was named "C. labiata v. warneri", and the current "C. labiata" was "C. labiata v. autumnalis". In the head of an oldie guy like me it's everything "labiata" (which in fact they probably are...)
