Default Laelia purpurata

I was lucky to find this purpurata in bloom, among hundreds of common plants! Yesterday I went to a comercial nursery, intending to find a gift for my mother-in-law (birthday today), and I find this LP!
It is a cross made by Geraldo Patto, a very skilled purputata grower!
The tag says:"TS 145: Lp russeliana (Pe Vitus x Canhanduba) x Lp alba 'João Elias'

Wow! nice find! I suppose being in Brazil helps - not likely to find one of those in a garden center here

I would keep that one for myself. And get the mother-in-law a different one.

I have a var carnea but it's years from blooming...Looking forward to that. Currently have space issue, so I'd rather it stay small for now and I know in time it can get rather big...
