Anyone prune your catts?

Everyone must have experienced this, you ordered a plant online, it arrived with one or two damaged leaves, it still serves its function, but the scars are not very pleasing to the eyes. Eventually it will turn into a back bulb and the nutrition will go to the new growth, so for the plant's sake, just wait might be a better option. But you may have to look at that scarred leaf for many years...So what do you do? Prune it or leave it?
