Default Laelia alvaroana (rupicolous)
When I added this to my collection it was labeled Laelia cinnabarina. I was aware of some differences, especially in the lip, but kept the label as it was until a couple of weeks ago when I showed it to Francisco Miranda who corrected me pointing out that it is in fact Laelia alvaroana, a species he described ten years ago. The second photo allows a rough comparison of the two.

That color is so vivid! Looks great! That's also pretty cool that you know Francisco Miranda. He's definitely a legend!

Wonderful colour on both of them, I love the comparison shot.

It has a great lip, I love the darker ruffles.

I love that orange-yellow color. Sure makes the blooms jump out of the picture.
