That's interesting, Louise. What's the parentage? I can see a lot of C. bicolor but the petal shape is very nice and full!

The petals remind me of silk. It's a really pretty one.

Thanks Royal and Rosie!

Yes, Royal it's a cross between Cattleya bicolor x Lc amber glow!
It's slightly scented and might be a french cross made by Vacherot, but not sure about that

Royal :Yes! But not in the dark though (reminds me of my young years as a punk and then a gothic when I was surrounded by plastic bats and so on....)
In fact, that one was on my wishlist since two years!

Default How nice!

I just love my Lc Eliz Fulton.. 'La Tulerie'.. It bloomed for me about 4 months ago; Looks nearly identical and has a heavenly scent too.

Thank you Jacki and Laura

Jacki : Once upon a time...there was two french families that opened their orchid nurseries near Paris . They were the Vacherot and the Lecoufle families...after more than a century and alliances I think they are now apart since quite a time...Your orchid is a "La tuilerie" means it's a breeding by Vacherot-Lecoufle (as the Valec ones) Usually brredings by Michel Vacherot are labelled Miva and there also is Marcel Lecoufle who has no particular labbel for his breedings but made for instance Paph Pinnochio for instance ;-)
Here is a bit of explanation about old french nurseries and their history of love and wars

Default How facinating!

I really adore this orchid - unique in colors--for me anyway. I have a pix of the flower, but my pix taking ability does not due it justice as it is fuzzy. I need much practice in the photo taking arena. But I'll look at yours and see how beautiful it is and will remind me of mine. Thank you for the information.
Hugs
