I have a pretty small plant of 'Blue Hawaii' that decided it would try blooming this winter. The flower was bigger than the plant!

But it was beautiful and lasted and lasted! I love it!

The 'Islanders Delight' is gorgeous and does have a better from but give me 'Blue Hawaii'!!!

Yours is simply perfect!!!

Bought a similar plant, a rescue plant in poor shape, it has a new root growth but seems to be a slow grower than the other cattleya's. Thanks for the picture and knowing it is a fragrant plant is a bonus. Fragrant flowers are my weakness.20161213_163708.jpg

I can't really tell what your picture shows.

I can't, either, but it looks kind of bad.

Now I see it. Cattleya growth is proportional to temperature. Some hybrids make new growths, one after another, all year long. Others are seasonal.
