Default Kir. Stephanie Takasaki "Jareds"

Hi guys, I need a little help. I bought an extremely dehydrated little bag baby (minus the bag) at Lowe's Home Center for 75 cents in January. I didn't have much hope of keeping it alive, but today I saw a new root!

Does anyone know anything about this orchid? I am clueless on everything, this is my first Kirchara.

Kirch is a Cat type hybrid using Epidendrum but knowing parents would help me alittle more but a fine media should work well for it

Hi Minicatt, I'm sorry I don't have any info on the parents, the tag just has the plant name. I Googled it but nothing came up. Right now the little bugger is in S/H and growing at least one root, so I am now expecting it to live.

Parents are Guarisophleya Selsal's Supernova x Epidendrum stamfordianum. Grow it in very bright light, intermediate temps, and it must dry out between waterings. HTH

Now that you have the breeding of your plant you can put the correct name on it. It's Mtn. Stephanie Takasaki 'Jareds'.....Mtn stands for Mantinara.
