Default Epidendrum ciliare (Mexican ecotype)
This is a widespread species, the distribution going from Mexico down to Brazil. The Brazilian ecotype is way shorter than the Mexican, which can easily reach 20-24" (50-60 cm) in height. The flowers are the same in both ecotypes, are fragrant in the dark and are as large as 4" (12cm) across.
