Default Cattleya intermedia var. caerulea orlata 'Gnomos'
"Orlata" refers to the accentuated coloring on the frontal borders of the lateral lobes. I had been confused by this term for a long time until Mauro Rosim kindly explained it for me on another forum.

This is the current flowering of the plant referenced in the "Scientific Matters" section.

Thanks for all the kind comments! And Royal, the Alamo Orchid Society is having a show in San Antonio on 28 and 29 March. I might go to that. I'm not a member, but I should look into joining also since they're right here.
