Default Cattleya luteola var. aurea 'Amazonas'

Beautiful all yellow flowers of this naturally mini Cattleya. Regular flowers have red marks in the lip, which are absent in this variety. It has largely been used in hybridization to try to diminish the plant sizes. Native of the Amazon region, it is not much easy to grow here in the Southeast region where I am.

Here's the lip in detail:

Very nice! I have the regular one, but I've never seen this version here in Taiwan yet.

Gorgeous, Mauro! I love luteola, but never seen this var. before. I'm currently hoping my regular luteola will bloom soon.

Not quite common, Pheli, even here in Brazil!

Flowering period is a little variable, Steve. They can bloom more than one time during the year, but I have seen more flowers in the summer/autumn months.
