Default Guarianthe bowringiana var. caerulea

The 'blue' variation of this tall and floriferous species. It is most probably kwown as Cattleya bowringiana.

Mauro, that's beautiful--although I still haven't been able (okay, willing) to force myself to change the genus name of my plant from cattleya to this new name that just refused to roll off my tongue with any ease. Congratulations on your fantastic flowers!

I confess I did hesitate too, Steve! The label on my plant still is Cattleya and I can't get used saying Guarianthe... when I see I am saying Cattleya.

Very lovely, Mauro! I have a bowringiana but the blooms aren't as full as yours (rather skinny petals) and it doesn't have that beautiful deep colour in the lip. Congratulations!

I love the color and the grouping of the flowers on this type of orchid. The overall global shape of the flowers is stunning. Thanks for the pic.
