Cattleya leopoldii f. peloric alba - Orchid Board

Well, there's a saying here that says the luck doesn't knock two times at the same door... but... the beautiful flower below proves the contrary!! It is the second tri-lipped Cattleya leopoldii alba opening for me!

I am not usually very fond of peloric flowers - they look like freaks - but this is lovely!!!

Both flowers and plant are beautiful, Mauro. How cool does it get (or do you allow this species to get) in your area of Brazil? Thanks for sharing your photos--and congratulations!

Like purpurata, leopoldii loves cold winters and hot summers. Mine is exposed to (winter) night temps of 53-60ºF, but these temps often drop as down as 38ºF in the dawn.
