Laelia purpurata Lindl. & Paxton, the species type
This is the type of this species, a flower with white sepals and petals and colored lip. It is not uncommon to find it mistankenly labeled as variety semi alba, but this variety does not exist in Laelia purpurata because it has been described as the type.
