I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news but the photo of the plant shown is not Epidendrum cilare but an almost look alike.

To the knowledgeable casual observer---ciliare lives up to its name---the lateral lobes of the lips are deeply fringed (ciliated)---hence the Latin Name ciliare.

That you may be confused is not surprising because this group of orchid species has some close resemblances to their close cousins. I ,too, was once confused thanks to google mis-identified photos. However, I got an Orchid taxonomy out and compared species and that is what set me straight.

This looks more like Epidendrum parkinsonianum but without seeing the actual plant,in person, I cannot confirm this. Epidendrum nocturnum, whose sweet heavy perfume is enough to drive one mad--smells like Men's Old Spice Cologne looks somewhat similar to E. parkinsonianum but differs in that the petals/sepal are more toothpick like. I say "mad" because at first it is a very pleasant smell but then it gets to be cloying and annoying. When my plant is in bloom, I do not need a room deodorizer because of the prominent perfume of the flowers smell up the entire house especially when it has produced many flowers in bloom. The good news is that it does not stink like some Bulbophyllums do.
