Default Bloomed Canes should I cut them?

Hello everyone I hope I am posting this in the correct forum. I have a Iwanagara Apple Blossom 'Fantastic' which is in a 6" pot in s/h medium. I purchased it several months go from Hausermann's Orchids. It has many canes that have bloomed with several new ones just starting to show sheaths. What should I do with the old canes that have bloomed? Should I cut them if so where should I cut them? The pot is quite crowded.

Thanks Sheridan

nooooooo do NOT cut the canes! The pseudobulbs are necessary for the plants survival as they store water and nutrients!
Unless the pseudobulb is rotting I would just leave it as it is, it keeps the plant stronger and keeps it going for times when the plant is struggling- its like backup!
Even though the old bulbs wont rebloom they provide the support for new pseudobulbs!

I have a Iwanagara Apple Bloosom in the biggest container they make for s/h and it will be spectacular when it blooms this year. Move it up for even a bigger show for next year.

If you must keep it in this container, divide three of the old pbulbs off and hope it sprouts dormant eyes for another plant to enjoy or trade away.

FYI -
Canes = Dendrobium Alliance
Pseudobulbs = Cattleya and Oncidium Alliances

Iwanagara (Iwan) = Brassavola x Cattleya x Diacrium x Laelia is a Cattleya Alliance Hybrid

Iwanagara Apple Blossom = Dialaelia Snowflake x Blc. Orange Nugget

Isn't it fun that the RHS now says that it is:

Caulaelia Snowflake x Thwaitesa Orange Nugget

to make: Leonara Appleblossom (Rod McLellan, 1992)

We work hard to learn to spell and pronounce these things and then we get to learn it over again!
