I have to disagree with you a little on this one, Don, I live in the Tampa area, and have a gigantic C. intermedia that gets full sun every day from about 11am-sunset. I believe there are some high-light Catts. that you can slowly introduce into it. Now that I think about it, there's a guy about five houses down from me that has a C. intermedia var orlata that gets full Fla. sun from sunrise-sunset.

Just goes to show you that location is important. What works in Calif. doesn't necessarily work in New York or So. Fla. The full sun deal with MOST cats won't survive at least here in So. Ga. There may be some varieties that do. I must agree that with conditioning they will adapt to most invironments.
