Default Caulavola Colmanii

Caulavola Colmanii = B. nodosa x Caularthron (Diacrum) bicornutum

I posted the first bloom for this plant last month. Turns out it's a sequential bloomer. Short lived flowers, but this is spike #4 this season. Nocturnally fragrant, like B. nodosa (but fragrance is different). Purple speckling and yellow callus on the lip from the Caul. bicornutum. Shape of the lip is kind of a combo of both. Thanks for looking.

A new one for me too. Nice shots, especially the back view. So many orchids are lovely from all sides. Thanks, Royal.

So true. I wanted to capture the freckles on the back of the petals. The front is all white, but the speckling is on the outside! Funny thing is, the lip is opposite - speckling inside and none outside.

This cross was made about 100 years ago, but I haven't seen it around much either. It's been kind of slow to get going, but this year it's growing like a weed. Funny, that's when I joined the OB. Coincidence, I think not! Thank all of you for really helping me get my culture down. You all rock!
