Default First bloom, question on opening of blossom

I am so new that I am experiencing the first blossom on an orchid that I purchased without. I have owned this Lc.Angel Heart'Himimanu' for over 6 months and it now has 2 buds. One has just opened today but it is sideways. I know that orchid blossoms rotate 180 deg. in the opening but don't know what to expect and when it should be in the correct orientation.

It may or may not change from current position once it has opened. I see the "lip" is to the left. I have found that once a cat starts forming it's buds that you should not change location or position of plant as it may not open properly. I don't know if your geographical location would make any difference or not but I am in SW Ga. and I have been told the same thing by other more experienced orchids growers. Beautiful flower. Enjoyed the picture.

Don,
I was aware of that and I tried not to move it's relationship to the sun. The next bud seems to be oriented correctly. Thanks for the help.

Thought you would like to see the second blossom with correct orientation.

Don't you just hate it when that happens! Don't know why, but it happens to mine sometimes too. Great looking flowers though! Congrats.
