Question Amethystoglossa

I bought an Amethy almost 3 years ago from SBOE. It was a very nice young plant, in bloom. It will not bloom for me. It has great roots, gets big leads, enough sun that the leaves are spotted. Makes sheaths and never any buds. Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong?

Try more light for longer periods of time. Usually the reason Catt's don't bloom is not enough light. You say you give it lots but how long does it recieve it? It could have something to do with fertilizer as well but I'm not sure of fertilizer enough to give you advice there. Hopefully somebody else can help there.

Have you tried giving it some cold nights? That works for a lot of different orchids.

Wendy and Tony thanks for responding. It gets enough light that the leaves are tinted purple and spotted.... I have moved it to a cooler area of the greenhouse. It's in the brightest spot, gets about 8000 foot candles for a few hours. There's a new growth coming so we'll see if the coolness does the trick this time.
Thanks again, I appreciate all suggestions.
