Paramount sells these and from their picture it looks like a really wide flower. Can't wait to see the flower. Is it first blooming?

Its the first blooming for me Dave and yeah this is the 2nd one I've gotten from Bryon. The first one isn't as robust as this one is. BTW, were you at the society meeting this past Sunday and if so, how many did you get from Ecuagenera?

I was there for the 1st half - had to go to work for a while. My pre-order was:
2 C. dowaina, 1 each C. jenmanii, loddigesii, schroederae, L. harpophylla and Phrag.fisheri x besseae.
Unfortunately some of the plants were unavailable, so I went home with 2 C. dowiana, C. gigas(warscewcizii), C. maxima 'Coronita', C. schroederae, Phrag. wallisii x besseae!
My plants last year did really good except the C. dowiana - just can't seem to get that species going and thriving. Although last year's C. gigas sat dormant (sulking) for almost 8 months, it is now doing well and in S/H.
Also picked up an in bloom Colmanara Wildcat 'Bobcat' from Paramount.

C. Clarissa = C. loddigesii x C. mendelii, registered in 1902.
That is a beautiful primary hybrid you have there. Now if it is fragrant - that would be wonderful. Now if I had a division....that would be perfect!
This must be under your HID light. How long have you had the plant?
