Oh crap I HAVE a seedling of this!! Bred by Christoffersen.
I was trying to sell it because of its questionable background, but I might take it off the sale rack now!!

Mine came from him too. At least it "acts" like a mossiae. A green sheath forms over the summer and then remains green during a long winter dormancy, with buds starting to develop in late winter/early spring. And the flowers smell more like my other Cattleya mossiae plants than the couple of lueddemannianas in my collection. Still, I'm now debating whether it should be handed over to the goats, as I really don't want to give space to a hybrid. They haven't gotten an orchid treat in quite awhile.

Sorry that my question brought about this discovery, but the plant is still beautiful! Jeff sent me a division of 'Willowbrook' last year and I'm happy to grow it even though it's widely thought to be from the same introgressed genes.

If you're going to chop it up and feed it to the goats, at least chop it up and send to a few of us who would lovingly grow out a hybrid like this.
