Rlc George King 'Serendipity' in bloom

This finally bloomed! It hasn't bloomed in years, and how I have missed it. It is one of my favorites. There are two flowers on a strong inflorescence. The flowers are held well with no staking required, and are spaced well with no crowding. These have been open about a week, so the peach color is starting to develop. The fragrance is both floral and citrusy. The flowers are quite large, exceeding 6 inches. I just love it so much!

It used to be a reliable bloomer, sometimes twice a year. The reason it took so long this time was because I went through a rough patch for a couple years and took care of my plants very poorly, so I missed a couple flowering seasons. But now that I'm feeling better and I'm back to caring for my plants appropriately, I expect this to once again bloom reliably at least once a year.
