Check this label please

Thé label on this one says RLC Crowfield ‘Mendenhall’ - mericlone. That didn’t sound right so I did a quick Google and all the photos were of a ‘standard’ Cattleya with big round green petals and sepals.

I know that even mericlones can show variation but the spots indicate a completely different parentage.

I think I must have mixed up the labels. Can anyone suggest what this might be - I can confirm by looking at a spreadsheet I kept so I’ll know if I ever bought one of what you suggest.

In any case, it is small but nice.

looks like a rlc fort motte, used to see those on their web site before they shrunk down whatever they have now

Id say thats a definite tag mix up!

I was just typing some long guess as to the parentage when Stephen nailed it!

I would hvae expected more spotted bifoliates in the lineage but I guess C. aclandiae is very dominant with its spots!

I can't help you with the ID, but that is a very nice plant and flower.
