Laelia "Zip"
As usual, got myself a new plant.
I have been looking for this one for four years and finally got it.
Still too small to bloom...that's the way I like it!

You'll love it, I'm sure! Easy grower and I'm looking forward to flowers myself - I have 2 siblings.

I have a tenebrosa and a milleri. The tenebrosa took a few years to bloom under my care but now is a reliable bloomer. The milleri never bloomed. Anyway, those are two species that I really like. I almost never buy any hybrids but this one combines the best of two worlds.

Update on this one...
It finally bloomed, 2,5 years after I got it. It bloomed from two sheaths, one already dry from last year that has been dormant and another from this year, still green.
The flowers have the tenebrosa shape and the milleri color. Obviously, no scent.
I consider it an easy grower, under my conditions. No special care required, even some neglecting.
