Oh goody one of my plants actually has 6 pseudobulbs, so I can expect blooms anytime!

Mine do get a bit of sun before I put the blinds down, but they are quite green.
Judging by what has been written I might need to bring them even closer to the front of the shelf, leave the blinds up for an hour longer and breakout the Bananaboat for them!

I just bought an anceps in a basket in spike. The newer leaves are closer to yellow than green. The older leaves are yellow.

My L anceps are mostly sort of lime green, and have a somewhat glaucous appearance - that whitish coating is nature's sunscreen. L anceps in spike now? Timing a bit odd, I don't usually see spikes until late July or early August on the earliest ones. But depending on where it was grown, "your mileage may differ".

It's SVO 2374 L. anceps ('Las Brisas' x 'Ultimo')

I can't get to SVO right now to look up what Fred said about it. That was quite a while ago.

Well, I'm sure it's great because that is what he does. It may be with the extra warmth inland that things are spiking sooner. Enjoy and post pix when it blooms!

I'll try. I left it at my mom's house until Fall. Didn't want to bring something in spike to this weather.

I can grow barrel cactus (Ferocactus) and Fouquieria (ocotillo and relatives) better than anybody else!
