This is the first flowering of a bare root original division obtained from Odom's orchids in June. This was an exceptionally strong division. I was very impressed by the plant quality.

It has been two days, but I suspect that the flower has not yet finished opening fully. Not the best photo. I'm not sure why, but the flower opened facing directly upward as can be seen in the second photo. I'm hoping the second flower, which is on a different growth, will have a better presentation than the first.

It's pretty! The next blooms will be better. I have several of Odom but the one that makes a synchronized and spectacular flowering is Bc. "Odom's Talent"

Any particular clone?
I wonder if other collectors are as impressed by Odom's plants as I have been. The ones I've purchased have been both large and virtually spotless.

sounds like a good grower so I went to check out his selection.
Sounds like a good shop but wow Keith the price. See I'm more of a Blc. Oconee 'Mendenhall' guy which is my kind of price range too.

I don't hesitate to grow expensive orchids because it ultimately costs less. I can usually recover the original plant's cost with the sale of the first division within 2-3 years and any sales thereafter help fund my orchid addiction.

Beautiful. First time for me.

My Malworth 'Orchidglade' at timesת blooms with some deficiencies , same for many other Malworeh , largely due to accessed hybridizing. However I do not know the other
