Rth Orange Nugget
Default Rth Orange Nugget

This is my Rth Orange Nugget. An early hybrid of mainly Rl glauca and C aurantiaca.
It does not produce many flowers compared to other hybrids and this one is even getting squashed by the leaves, has no fragrance so although it's not bad I would not recommend this one to others even though it is a welcome surprise.
It has brightened up what is a very cold November here.

That is a very nice one Shade. No problem at all with leaf-squash. The colour and shape is very nice. This orchid appears very healthy. Excellent.

I can see old spikes on each bulb. So this one appears to be quite a 'reliable' flowering one. Nice one Shade.

Thanks SP
This one was only bought October last year, it flowered for the first time in February so it's the second flowering this year but also only the second flowering in my care.
Grown under LED, hasn't had any sunlight in over a year.

First bloom, quite lovely. Actually, the grex has the potential to become a spectacular floriferous specimen, so this one is just getting started.

The name 'Orange Nugget' is very nice and fitting for this one as well.
