I haven't had this thing a whole year yet, but this is it's 3rd flowering for me. The sepals and petals are shaped a little differently than previously ( not sure if that is to be of concern)

Can you get metal hardware cloth (of the sort that is used to make fencing for chickens and such)? Similar configuration, more rigid. |

Yes that's no problem. It was just the glossy black look of the wire that caught my attention.
Probably best I could get is small square gauge and it would have to be stainless (expensive) to get a similar 'tailored' look, otherwise zinc is the norm.

You can paint zinc hardware cloth.

It occurred to me "hardware cloth" might be a US idiom, not used in other English-speaking countries, for woven wire fencing. So I though I'd post a link for people to see what I'm talking about. Note this is not what we call "chicken wire." That has much larger openings and much finer wire.
I've never looked it up online, just gone to a hardware store and bought some. Now I find out it's readily available here coated with plastic, in different colors. Maybe in OZ as well?
