This is Enc. Chien Ya Smile 'K.S.' (polybulbon x cordigera) per the tag. Pretty sure the "K.S." stands for Kansas.

Just finished mounting it...



Now all I need to do is find the chain to hang it, and let it start weeping.

Found some photos of it online... here's to beautiful flowers. (Seem to have the shape of Dinema (Encyclia) polybulbon and the size and color of E. cordigera.) I think that mount will be great.

just to add a bit of anecdote- i grow E cordigera 'hinomaru #2 x #3

E rioclarense (two of em) which is cordigera x randii

and another i lost the tag to in almost full sun, mounted with no medium....cordigera likes it HOT and sunny

And I grow Dinema (Encyclia) polybulbon on my patio, so it is fine with cool winter temps (and doesn't mind summer heat either). The combo should be super-tolerant.
