Default 9 Flower Buds

I have a NOID Cattleya orchid that has always had 2-3 flowers when it blooms. It is blooming now and has 8 flower buds. A first for this plant. I know it's hard to tell from the picture but 3 are open now and there are 5 more buds getting ready to open.
