For what it is worth, I tried growing L. milleri in a rupiculous medium and nearly killed it. I have it mounted now, and it is doing much better. It hasn't bloomed yet but I see sheaths starting, and at the very least, the growths look good and it has new roots. I think that one might be more epiphytic than lithophytic. If it gets to where it is strong enough to bloom then I will know...

So far, so good...cooler weather is coming next week (it means 27 ºC) with some rain. It will revive most of the plants.

Some photos (one of them out of focus...sorry)

It bloomed...more 5 or 6 flowers to go.
The flower is really small, about 2 cm wide (20 mm or 0.7874015748 in ).
Yellow and hard to photograph with a phone. One thing that disapointed me is that the flower is curled. I don't know if this is a consequnce of some cultural issue or genetics. Let's wait and see how the other flowers are...

Some photos...

That is a delightful little flower! A lot of the rupis do have reflexed flowers... it may flatten out, or not, charming either way.

I was expecting a "flat" flower because most of the photos online are like that (although some are curled).

Very nice Rbarata! Great to see the flower opened.

Depending on how the other flowers open, and just for a test ----- would be interesting to see if some manual manipulation can straighten out 1 of the tepals.

Eg. using a device like this (click here) ....... not using the clips of the device for clipping or squishing anything, but just using the little position manipulable ends of those clips to unfurl one of them (and very gentle sandwich between TWO clips) ------ I wonder if the unfurled tepal could hold it's new shape after a couple of days ----- hold it by itself after removing the device heheh.

Actually, curled up is nice too! Individuality is very nice as well.

It's a first flower, and it just opened.

In fact, it opened two days before the photo was taken.
