Default Cattleya reblooming on old psuedobulbs

From what I read Cattleya will not rebloom on old psuedobulbs, I have repotted my cattleya it lost a lot of leaves after reporting, then 3 of the bulbs are growing new spikes, one has 2 spikes. Making a total of 4 spikes. I was wondering since it started dropping leaves and sending out spikes is that a sign the plant is dying .

Either it is not a Cattleya, or it is not reblooming.

Please provide a photo and a name.

It depends on what is meant here about 'spikes'. I agree with Fair Orchids ----- photos will definitely help here.

If you're talking about new growths of shoots of leaves, then new growths can mean recovery, but is not always necessarily a good situation unless the orchid also has good roots. Because some orchids like cattleya having no roots or dead roots and putting out new shoots (growths) doesn't mean a good situation.

not really related to the repotting but the plant is likely getting better air/water/nutrient exchange as a result so maybe al little

It is almost certainly a Dendrobium Phalaenopsis type. They can bloom several times on each cane.
