Cattleya intermedia var. orlata
Three flowers from this year's new growth, and two from last year's dried up sheath--it was a pleasant surprise to see flower buds coming out of totally shriveled, empty sheath. Color is great, but there are some small notches on the petals though.

Cattleya intermedia var Orlata
I bought this seedling from Orchids.com but I’m not sure if it’s a Cattleya intermedia var orlata because it doesn’t seem to have bifoliate leaves but I’ll wait on the new growth it’s producing. Its leaves are really long and it’s healthy. I bought it in March. The website says it’s near mature size

That doesn't look like even close to a mature plant to me. Seedlings of biboliate Catts sometimes have single-leaf growths. As far as variety (or even if it is the C intemedia that it is supposed to be) you'll have to wait for it to bloom.
Read notes about the vendor in the Vendor Fedback subforum. I'm not placing any bets... I hope you didn't pay a lot for it.

It looks like a C. purpurata or tenebrosa.

Thank you 🙏🏾 I appreciate the help. I agree. This doesn’t seem like a near mature size. I’ll make an update when the next growth matures.

I hope not. That would be unfortunate 😂 Imagine buying a plant to receive the wrong one after 2-3 years of growth. It didn’t come with a tag or I couldn’t find it but it just doesn’t like the right one.

Whether getting something you didn't order is sad depends on what it turns out to be. I have certainly had some disappointments over the years, but I have also received plants that turned out to be significant additions to my collection that I didn't plan on. (Not what they were labeled, but interesting and sometimes special) It looks healthy, you'l just have to wait another 2-3 years to see what it actually is.
For future purchases, do check out vendor reputations. There are a bunch of very good vendors who won't disappoint, that Board contributors have ordered from and written about.

Norman strikes again! Don't bother trying to get your money back, just don't order from him again. Horrible person, horrible company. Sorry you got the wrong plant, but if it makes you feel better, getting a bad plant from Norman is a right of passage for all American orchid lovers, so congrats, you are one of us now.
