How many pbulbs usually grow at the same time?
Just one? Two?

I don't have milleri (wish I did,beautiful color) but I have briegeri and it will have several new p-bulbs each year. They will pop up next to last seasons growth. I guess it depends on how happy they are.

I think mine won't bloom this year as the blooming season is almost ending and I haven't seen any signs of flowers. But I saw what might be a new growth.
I bought it last October so it' still new to me. So far it's not dying.

I’ve had the same experience as Bill. Once mine settled in, I started seeing multiple new growths. I had purchased it with 3 pbulbs last summer, had a new one grow during that time, and right now there are 3 starting to develop.

Here's a photo taken when I got it and potted it.
That new growth was already there and now it is a pbulb with a leaf. So, my only credit is to keep it alive and develop a new leaf from that growth.

Finally I can see a new growth, the first one under my care.
Growing conditions:

- 35ºC/14ºC (95/57F) day/night
- HR 20/90% day/night
- Watered almost every day, early in the morning
- Light: filtered sun (over 4.000 fc)

hahaha! Nice. Those pseudobulbs are amazing .... purple coloured, like rhubarb or beetroot. Very nice.

If a Laelia orchid has lots of pseudo-bulbs, then a whole bunch of leads could grow out of it at around the same time.

Update on this one...the new pbulb is growing nicely, however I think it won't bloom because:

1 - The plant came from Brasil and it had a new growth in September. As the flowering season is in the summer, it seems to be a little late...unless it grows fast

2 - I'm not sure if it is getting enough light.

Update on this one...the new growth is getting bigger.
Do you think it should already show signs of a sheath or is it too soon?

I have it for less than a year to I don't know what to expect.

My guess is the new growth will need to mature a little more before you see a sheath, if any. Are there any cut spikes on the old bulbs to indicate they had bloomed? What I really wanted to say though is what a wonderful color on those bulbs and the edging of the leafs
