Default Stanhopea insignis

I bought this one as an unidentified Stan from Bahia, and now in bloom: Stan insignis. This is probably the last Stan this season, another Stan blooming only in the Spring!

Stunning, lucky for me that the Stanhopea season is just getting underway here in the States. Totally looking forward to it.

I've fallen in love with this genus. I currently own two species; If they weren't such large plants, I'd get myself some more.
