Default Stanhopea Love Potion No. 9

Flowers just opened this morning on this primary hybrid of tigrina and connata. Extremely fragrant.

Nice flower! It is always an event when stanhopeas bloom!
Instead of hybridizing every little thing to have big flat flowers, somebody should work on stanhopea flowers that will last more than a few days. Now that would be worth having.

Thank you for all of your comments. Does anyone here grow Stanhopea connata? I've never seen one "in person," but I've read that connata's flowers are not so nice smelling. The flowers on Love Potion are very good, so I was wondering if someone who's grown connata could share his or her views regarding its flowers. Thanks again for the feedback!
