Default Stanhopea x fowlieana

I was surprised this was blooming in the middle of winter!
Stanhopea x fowlieana a natural hybrid between stanhopea costaricensis and stanhopea ecornuta.
The flowers took less than hour to open to full bloom, you can literally watch it open and unfold!

Neat. How long do they last?

Cool that it opens so fast. Must be like sitting and watching a time lapse video.

gosh, I didn't take notice of the horns, there should be. I will take some more pictures when the other set of flowers bloom. I think I do recall noticing short stubby horns though!

Hi everyone, I just want to post some more pictures of the second set of flowers that bloomed yesterday. I took some close up and you'll be able to see more details, including the short horns on this one!
