Default Cycnoches cooperi (dark!)

I got this shockingly dark cooperi from H&R sometime this spring as a NBS and boy was I happy when it opened a day or two ago! I have been looking for a nice dark cooperi forever! It was a bit windy today so the pics are a bit more fuzzy than I would like and please ignore the aphids!! How embarrassing! I'm also shocked at how nice the fragrance on this one is. An all-round great plant! Enjoy!

After look at this post I've noticed I can't seem to get my camera to pick up the right color. The pics make this guy seem more red than dark, dark purple. Oh well, next year I should be able to get a better pic on a larger plant.

Excellant!

Dark reds and purples are always hard to catch accurately, IME, with digital cameras so don't feel bad.

Fantastic, Steve. The flowers look almost as big as the plant.
