Trying something different...
I decided to mount my Paphinia Majestic..upside down!
It's how they all grow in nature so I figured "What the heck!"... I'll post pics when it blooms

If that's the way they are supposed to grow! Nice mount.

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

If it doesn't like it it will gradually start turning itself up as the new grwths form.I've had that happen before when I got a species & wasn't sure how it should be mounted. It told me!

I have noticed a small new growth! It seems to be growing in the same direction as the rest of the plant so I have high expectations

Yes, a few of the mounts in my orchidarium are correcting themselves at this point. Mostly the Masdevallias. They were mounted and the weight of the leaves makes them droop. All the new growths however a pointing up. I can't wait till they are all established. It's like waiting for a baby elephant, twice!
My Phalaenopsis Mini Mark, also in the orchidarium is already trying to upturn one of its leaves to get more light. THe Slc. Mini Beau thats on top of it is outcompeting it for light. Jane, this plant is a monster! I love it!!!! Thanks again. Its putting out roots like crazy! Basically, it should be established within the month, or next one.
