Default Stanhopea candida

Dont know if this is usual or not but my candida wich resides in a 6 inch net pot has produced 7 new growths this fall!It has started to actually send growths right up next to the edge of the basket. Didnt know they were such robust growers . I think its a little late to repot right now but would bumping this dude up a basket size or two be the best thing to do after blooming?

Scott,

It is usually normal for most smaller flowering Stanhopea to produce many growths. They make specimens rather quickly. Do you have pictures of your plant in action, or what is the basket type and size being used now? If you let it get huge, then it will cover the basket, and bloom everywhere...
