Can't find cycnoches species on line (domestic growers)? Male
Default Can't find cycnoches species on line (domestic growers)?

Been looking for a while and although a few years ago most cycnoches species were readily available, they seem to have vanished. JEM closed and retired to Hawaii, Sunset valley has only warscewiczii and I bought the last plant they brought to the redland show earlier this year (plant is in bud btw).
Am looking to rebuild my cycnoches species group and been beating google with a stick. Anyone that shows them on list is out and and an occasional foreign grower (brazil, colombia) has some. Am not looking to import yet... maybe early next year if the foreign growers will bring them to redlands.
So, the question is ... has anyone seen a site or knows a grower that has some cycnoches species plants?
Thanks in advance, am enjoying the hunt, but it has been fruitless... so far, and frustrating.

HR had a bunch a few years ago, but none currently and looks like they are mainly interested in dendrobiums and cattleya species.

I can help you with a few. I purchased Cycnoches peruvianum (seedlings) from Lousiana Orchid Connection. They aren't listed on the website. I bought some when they were listed on Ebay, but you could inquire about availability via email. The email is john@laorchid.com.

Ben at Orchideros has Cycnoches cooperi available for $30. Here is the website: orchid-eros | Miscellaneous Orchids

Ron at New Earth Orchids has Cycnoches barthiorum 'Pink Dove'. I contacted him via email to inquire about prices/availability and order a plant, his email address is ronnewearth@icloud.com.

I had just emailed Ben at orchid eros to see if He had other straggler cycnoches besides the cooperi listed on his website around. Sometime they will keep them off their site if they only have a couple, gotta ask them.
thank you

Yep! Should be accurate! They’re definitely an up and coming facility.

I used to live near the Orchid Trail. They do have an awesome variety of plants to select from. They are also some of the nicest people. Their plants are gorgeous and amazingly healthy. If I had to pick a favorite grower (keep in mind I have made many, many orders since I've been growing a long time), it would be them. I have never been disappointed when ordering from the Orchid Trail.

No problem, I am happy to help. I love this species, but it definitely is a bit more challenging to find domestically.

Have you tried Sunset Valley Orchids? Along with their hybrids, they have many species as well.
