Default Regarding your new grass

I got 3 catasetum flasks from Sunset Valley Orchids in California that looked a lot like those when deflasked and I killed almost all of them. Is there a technique in putting them into compot? I did it like I usually do the rest of mine and they were not happy . Any advice?
