Default Catasetum denticulatum- Female flowers??

These look like female flowers to me, but I'm skeptical considering the difficulty many people have with getting this species to throw females. What do you y'all think?

This is a young plant on its second bloom. This would be REALLY cool if I got female flowers!!

I have never seen female denti flowers but those buds look far pointer than what I'm used to seeing for females. On the other hand, the color is wrong for what my males looked like at that stage. ?? It'll be interesting to see what happens here.

Most definitely female flowers. If the flower stem becomes striated then it will be further proof. Next step will be pouch shaped lip on top of the bud. Congrats! Keep it in high light!

I've got my fingers crossed!! I'll cross this with Catasetum schweinfurthii pollen if the flowers are female.

Update:

Catasetum denticulatum female flower bud by Stephen Van Kampen-Lewis, on Flickr

I'm wondering if I'll get a male flower higher up on the inflorescence, in addition to the female flower? I'd love to get pollen.
