First Catasetum/Catasetinae - Monnierara Millenium Magic Witchcraft Female
Default UPDATE: 1 WEEK

Well guys, this poor dude seems hell-bent on dying on me.

This is one week later (I got it on Thurs). Watered on Saturday with 1/4 strength 20-10-20 Fert. The medium is still very damp after 4 days. I reached out to the seller who confirmed sphag, time release fert, and "a course bark pumice mix". Although but still very squishy.

This can be one of two things - stress or infection.
The spots are possibly from spritzing it and causing a magnifying glass effect on some leaves but could also be something else.

This is a bit quick for going dormant so I cut the leaf off with a sterilized set of shears and dabbed with cinnamon.

Now it's just wait and see for the rest of the leaves.

Looks fine to me and no, that's not too quick for dormancy! The bottom leaves usually drop pretty fast. The same thing often happens when they move a new spot. Don't worry so much!! lol

Yep, that's about what my ctsm. leaves look like when they are going to sleep. I would quit the fertilizing and slow down on the water at this point.
