its a male? its supposed to be darker colored flower. its a hybrid of 2 dark flowered catasetum. is the female the one more colorful?

Those are the male flowers and the males are typically more colorful.

Definitely male, many of this cross have been blooming very pale. Makes me wonder if it's genetic or a mislabeled cross. The form is on point with both parents though. Nice flowers!

thank you. i was expecting a very dark flower but even with this color, just the form is nice and im still waiting for 2 more spike to open. the cross is:

Here is the update of the sibling. It has darker spots so it looks better
